Option 2: Use students’ posters from the activity to assess their understanding of the concepts.
Option 3: Challenge students to examine the data they have collected and to construct an argument related to present day climate change with the Constructing an Argument student page as a guide. Be sure that students understand the elements required in their argument, including claim, evidence, and reasoning (see the Background for more information). Use a rubric, such as the Is It Only Natural? Evaluation Rubric teacher page, to assess their work.
